biografia:

Aynsley Dunbar urodzil sie 10 stycznia 1946 roku w Liverpoolu. Zanim zostal czlonkiem John Mayall's Bluesbreakers gral z takimi muzykami jak Champion Jack Dupree czy Eddie Boyd. Gral tez przez jakis czas w The Jeff Beck Group (pojawia sie nawet na plycie Truth, ale w tym czasie gral juz z Mayallem).
    W 1968 utworzyl wlasna blues-rockowa grupe the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation, do ktorej dolaczyli gitarzysta i wokalista John Moorshead, basista Alex Dmochowski oraz organista Victor Brox. Grupa ta nagrala w latach 1969-70 trzy albumy (opisane powyzej). Podczas tourne poznal w Belgii Franka Zappe, ktory zaprosil go do tworzonego wlasnie nowego wcielenia Mothers Of Invention. Zagral na wielu jego pozniejszych albumach, od Chungas Revange poczawszy.
    Wspolpracowal z niezliczonymi artystami, glownie jednak z Frankiem Zappa, a takze z Davidem Bowie. W 1975 roku dolaczyl do jazz-rockowej grupy Journey, w latach 1978-82 byl czlonkiem grupy Jefferson Starship, a kilka lat pozniej zagral na dwoch albumach grupy Whitesnake. Ostatnio jednak powrocil do blues-rocka.
